With four 3Gb/s, full-duplex SAS channels, the JB16 is capable of 1,200MB/s throughput which is faster than a single 4G or 10G fiber connection. This
makes the JB16 ideal for applications like High Definition Video editing where
high capacity and high performance are a must.
High Density Storage
The JB16 holds up to sixteen 3.5” SAS or SATA drives with individual capacities
to 750GB. The JB16 has a maximum combined storage capacity today of 12
terabytes. With 1TB hard drives on the horizon, the JB16 will soon boast a
maximum total capacity of 16 terabytes.
Scalability
The JB16 SAS/SATA JBOD is designed with four high-speed SAS I/O
downlinks for cascading up to four more JB16s while maintaining 1200Gb/s
throughput. Simply add another JB16 when you require additionaly capacity.

Easy to Manage, Easy to Maintain
The JB16 design features a modular base with hot-swap I/O modules, power
supplies and cooling fans. Using SCSI Enclosure Services (SES), the
JB16 features LED drive activity and failure lights for easy identification and
replacement.
