SAS Expansion with either SAS or SATA Hard Drives
SAS storage servers offers more than just the performance of SAS drives or the density of SATA. They also offer external storage expansion. Through the use of SAS expanders at the back of the 3ware storage controller, you can add multiple additional external storage JBODs to a single head unit. This allows for a high performance system with many SAS spindles or a high density SATA solution that supports up to 100 TB of additional storage!
The Right RAID Card Makes all the Difference
