Storage Servers

Whether your application and storage are required on the same system or you are looking for a configurable file server, a storage server is the perfect solution. Storage servers run a standard operating system such as Linux, Windows, or Solaris, and are incredibly dense for their size. They offer an open architecture that easily accepts add-in PCI cards, and are only limited by what their installed operating system will support. These systems are ideal for system administrators who want a cost-effective solution and the flexibility to “roll their own” configuration.

3Ware and LSI RAID Controllers

Pogo storage servers provide a choice between 3Ware or LSI RAID controllers. With each controller, drivers and GUI/CLI management tools are top-notch, as is the performance in either SATA and SAS storage arrays.

SATA or SAS?

SATA drives provide high storage density combined with good sequential I/O performance. SAS drives achieve the highest performance for database and other heavy I/O applications, with storage densities smaller than SATA.

SATA: High Speed or High Efficiency

When speed is most important, choose between the high sequential I/O performance of 7200 RPM hard drives from either Seagate or Western Digital.
